Want to feel better, feel good, be happy, people who volunteer are happier and healthier without visiting a pharmacy.

That’s according to a study of more than 3,000 people, which found that those who volunteer a little or a lot, are happier and healthier.  Three out of four people who volunteer feel better physically.  Volunteering can be just as good as filling a doctor's prescription.

In terms of mood, almost 95% of the respondents experienced improved moods and 80% say volunteering took away stress.

Volunteers talked about how helping others helped them improve their own job skills and helped them to learn how to manage time better.

It's true, helping others really will help yourself.
