'Dine for the Diner' Today To Support Catholic Charities

Dine for the Diner is an annual fundraiser to support St. Joseph's Diner in Downtown Lafayette. The diner is run by Catholic Charities of Acadiana and is a critical resource for those who are homeless or face food insecurity. Each week, the Diner serves thousands of individual hot meals thanks to a team of volunteers who keep it running all year. This is the time that all of us can support that work.

Each year around this time, a group of restaurants come together and pledge to donate 10% of sales to support the dinner and today is that day.

Ben Broussard of Catholic Charities of Acadiana says this event every year makes such an impact on the work they do to keep the doors open at the diner.

“St Joseph Diner serves over 5000 miles per week to those experiencing hunger, and it comes at a substantial cost. We are thrilled to invite the community support on work by simply eating today at any of these participating restaurants, each committing 10% of the entire days. Take to help us do this vital work.”
