(Lafayette, Louisiana) - A popular sushi and Hibachi grill restaurant recently announced it was closing and was soon to relocate. Well, now we know where they are relocating in Lafayette.

One of our favorite places to eat out in Lafayette has always been Tsubaki Sushi and Hibachi, and when we heard that they were closing, we were so disappointed.

However, we later found out that they were not closing their Lafayette location permanently, but rather relocating.

Now we know where they are relocating in the city, and we cannot wait to visit their new location on Piiinhook Road. According to a social media post by Tsubaki, their new restaurant will be at 803 W Pinhook Rd. This is the same building that Shane's Famous Quesadillas Burgers once occupied.

They say that they had to leave their original location on Ambassador Caffery due to construction on the building, and while new is always good, we will miss their original location.

So, if you are as much a fan of their food as I am, this is such great news: Tsubaki Sushi & Hibachi isn't leaving Lafayette, and they will soon have a new home for you and me to visit.

The restaurant tagged us in their post showing what the new location looks like, and we want to share it with you here. Check it out.

Tsubaki by Koi has not announced an opening date for their new location, but they did say in a recent social media post that they are getting very close to opening on Pinhook Rd.

It appears they are putting the finishing touches on the building's exterior, and once they officially announce their opening date, we will share it with you here.

Five Places to Visit That Make You Feel Like You’re in Old Lafayette

The city of Lafayette seems to grow each and every week, and that's a good thing, but still, there are places in the city you can visit that give you that "Old Lafayette" feel. Nostalgia is part of the Lafayette culture. We love to think back on events and places that may no longer exist, but luckily, there are still some places in Lafayette that make it feel like you're back in the 60s, 70s, or 80s. Let's look at a few places you can still visit in Lafayette that have that "Old Lafayette" feel for some odd reason.
