Behind the Scenes

I posted a picture on the KTDY Facebook page and on my personal Facebook page earlier this week which was taken from an old newspaper.  The picture is below, but to sum things up, it is from the "Lifestyles" section of a newspaper in New York from SEVERAL years ago.  Four men were asked the question:  "If a woman needs it, should she be spanked?"

Saints Head Coach Sean Payton has been exiled from the NFL until after Superbowl XLVII, which, Ironically will be played at the Superdome.  His suspension, those of Jonathan Vilma, Will Smith, and Drew Brees' Contract situation haven't dampened the passion of Who 'Dat Nation. The Saints reportedly have a waiting list for season tickets.

Music evokes such emotion in me that sometimes I can't even listen to it. Seriously. This is a problem sometimes at work. It happened just the other day at 7:30 in the morning. Last week, I asked which of my three tiny dogs should come to work with me for Take Your Dog to Work Day today. Bella Bug, my 3.3 pound chihuahua won with 49% of the votes, so I loaded her crate into my car this morning for the short drive to KTDY.

You've heard me talking for the last 2 weeks about how I have been raiding CJ's office to find CDs to give away, and yesterday, I hit the jackpot!!

I am sure going to miss my Dad on Sunday. He was 84 years old when he died, and had lived the perfect life. At least that was what he would have said if you'd asked him.

So I helped my friend Paul move this weekend, and Shannon would be so proud of me!!  I only brought home 9 items that Paul was throwing away!  (I am somewhat of a nostalgic guy, though Shannon calls it "hoarding")

JayCee was helping a friend move this weekend and persuaded the guy to let him have his 'Return of the Jedi' glassware, a 1983 t-shirt and this weird toy.

I don't think so! This morning, while having my coffee, I watched a little TV. It made me angry. I was bombarded by commercials for PRESCRIPTION medicines! I can't think of one good reason for this. My belief is that it encourages self-diagnosis, and self medication.

When we are searching for stories to post on our website, we try to find pictures to use that relate to our stories.  According to copyright laws, we can't just 'pull' any picture from online, we have to have permission to use the pictures that we post.

Governor Jindal has declared Friday 'Tarzan Day in Louisiana'.  The first movie about the legendary Edgar Rice Burroughs Character was made in Louisiana. 'Tarzan Of The Apes' was shot in the Morgan City area, beginning in 1917.

Raising money for a great cause, the Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana organization continues their annual telethon today at the Heymann Center in Lafayette.  You can tune in on Cox Cable (channels 4 and 68).
