I'm a lifelong Louisiana resident who grew up in New Orleans and moved to Lafayette to go to college. While studying for a degree in Broadcasting and working weekends in radio, I fell in love with Acadiana and decided to stay put after graduation. I've been on the radio in Acadiana since 1977. I'd love it if you'd join CJ and me weekday mornings from 6-10. I promise you'll get great music, the info you need to start your day and a few laughs along the way!

Had my first record player at 2 years of age and knew right then that music would be a big part of my life. Today, with all my blessings including 2 wonderful children and a successful morning show, I still wake up each morning so that I can hear the music!

I grew up in a place where it snows, but I've spent nearly my entire adult life in Acadiana and it's the place I'm pleased to call home. I raised my children here, and my grandson Nathan is growing up here. When I was a kid, my brothers & I would "camp out' on the porch on summer nights, listening to a portable AM radio. We got great reception of stations in New York, Boston & even WLS out of Chicago My brothers loved listening to it and I said "I want to do that"...

John “JayCee” Falcon has been with 99.9 KTDY for the past 12 years. A native of Abbeville, he got his ‘radio’ feet wet at KROF after having served 5 years in the United States Army. His original duties at KTDY included hosting the afternoon show as he still does today, but his background soon led him to tackling engineering duties throughout the building, not just in the studio.
