Raising money for a great cause, the Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana organization continues their annual telethon today at the Heymann Center in Lafayette.  You can tune in on Cox Cable (channels 4 and 68).

Many radio personalities are helping with the event, most of them local, will be helping out with the emcee duties (including Larry LeBlanc, who came back to Lafayette this week SPECIFICALLY TO HELP WITH THE EVENT!).  I will be there to interview volunteers and make a plea for donations from Noon until 2 today.  There are VIP Volunteers with unique telephone numbers listed plainly in front of them on the panel.

You can also call the 'generic' line (337-233-1971) which rings through to the bank of phones operated by different organizations.  Yesterday, the Acadiana High Wrecking Rams' Cheerleading Squad gave their time to make/answer calls in hopes of reaching this year's goal!

If you drop by the studios, located in the Frem Boustany Convention Center (the rear portion of the Heymann Center) on South College Road, you can drop your donation right into the fish tank and be on TV!  (A $25 or more donations gets you a free Telethon T-Shirt, while supplies last!)

Come join us in person, or tune in today, and help us raise money for the Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana.  All money raised today stays in Acadiane, helping people with CP.
