I'm a lifelong Louisiana resident who grew up in New Orleans and moved to Lafayette to go to college. While studying for a degree in Broadcasting and working weekends in radio, I fell in love with Acadiana and decided to stay put after graduation. I've been on the radio in Acadiana since 1977. I'd love it if you'd join CJ and me weekday mornings from 6-10. I promise you'll get great music, the info you need to start your day and a few laughs along the way!

Mardi Gras Delays Garbage Collection in Lafayette

Some changes to the residential waste collection schedule happen during Mardi Gras week.  Customers who have regular Monday service with Allied Waste and the Recycling Foundation will receive their usual garbage and recycling service. There will be no garbage or recycling service on Mardi Gras day, so regular Tuesday customers will receive collection on Wednesday.  Regular Wednesday through Friday customers also receive collection on the day following their regular collection day during Mardi Gras week.  The adjusted schedule includes regular Friday garbage and recycling customers, who will receive waste collection on Saturday, February 25.
