These five Christmas celebrations are sure to put you and yours in the holiday spirit!

The weather may not know it, but the holiday season is officially here in Acadiana. Houses and businesses are decorated, Christmas songs fill the air, and special events like these offer opportunities for lifelong memories with those you love.

Living Bethlehem, December 7-9, 7 - 8 p.m.  Sugar Mill Pond Town Center in Youngsville. The Living Bethlehem is a live nativity drama featuring a cast of children, live animals and a children’s choir. The event is free and open to the public. Click here for more.

Old-Time Christmas at Vermilionville,  December 12 - 23, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. daily.  Regular admission $10 adults, $8 seniors, $6 students and children 6 & under enter free. Return to the simple joy of Christmas past at historic Vermilionville. Papa Noël will be on hand and holiday activities will include learning how to make wax candles, Christmas carols, popcorn stringing a taste of delicious apple cider! Head here for more info.

Celebrating Christmas, December 13, 7 p.m.  Heymann Performing Arts Center, Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker and Handel's Messiah, Irvin Berlin's White Christmas and Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride are among the holiday classics that will be presented on this magical evening. TheGrammy Award winning Lost Bayou Ramblers, ASO Youth Orchestra and Lafayette High School Chorus will also perform.

Home For Christmas, December 14, 7 p.m. Heymann Performing Arts Center.  The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra’s annual Christmas concert celebrates the magic of Christmas with Lauren Daigle. Find out more here.

Christmas At Couret, December 15, 6 p.m.  Couret Farms in Lafayette. Enjoy live music from Ray Boudreaux, photo ops with Santa, activities for children young and old, and more.
