I don't know if the designers and market research people at Ford were thinking about Louisiana roads when they designed their latest vehicle, but I have a feeling it's going to sell well down here.

Fox News reports that the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport is a new car that features an active suspension system programmed to 'sense' the edges of potholes. The suspension system tenses the impact, allowing the wheel to skip over potholes.

There's no word yet what size potholes this new car can handle, but it would probably skip across a Louisiana road (I'm looking at you, Hwy 31 from Lafayette to St. Martinville) like a rock skips across water. The new suspension system does make hard impacts less painful for passengers and will help lessen damage to wheels, tires, and suspension.
