Halloween Boo Buckets Might Be Returning to McDonald’s Just in Time For Halloween
Does anyone remember when McDonald’s gave out Halloween Boo Buckets with every Happy Meal?
According to my research, the first Halloween bucket was given away in 1986 and they resembled the typical orange Halloween bucket that most children are used to seeing around this time of the year.
For some reason, I can't seem to remember these very popular toys being handed out. However, I am not a big fan of the Halloween season so that may have something to do with it.
In 1989 the buckets got a makeover and came with three options, only one being a pumpkin this time around. In 1990 the beloved toys got another makeover, this time one bucket would glow in the dark. In 1991, the buckets became bags… I think you can see where this is going. This trend continued where the buckets were getting remade every few years until 1999 when they became buckets without faces on them. They were simply buckets with a Halloween design on them. Again the trend of changing the design of the buckets continued until 2016 when McDonald’s finally decided to retire the whole celebration.
This of course made die-hard Halloween fans very upset but it was a decision the company stood by…Until now.
Word on the street is that Mcdonald's plans to bring these Halloween Boo Buckets back this year.
There is no official word or statement on the release but it is being reported that McDonald’s employees have leaked the information.
According to the leaked information the Halloween Boo Buckets will be available on October 18 and will be sold until Halloween day, of course, while supplies last.
I sure hope that these Halloween Boo Buckets will be available in Lafayette because I would love to actually see what they look like in person.
