Louisiana is known for many tales and when it comes to spirits some will tell you that the state is full of them roaming around.

I recently came across a video on YouTube and it highlighted several places in Louisiana that are haunted. So much that some people say that they avoid these places in our great state.

From gravesites to railroads, some people report seeing or hearing things that they can quite fathom.

And while you may take some stories with a grain of salt, some of the locations highlighted in this video have had multiple reports of spirits roaming.

So, check out the video below and see if you recognize any of these locations and/or stories.

Personally, I've heard many stories from the gravesite near Eunice, Louisiana, and those who've been back there swear that there are spirits still lurking on the grounds of the cemetery.

I've also been to a few of the plantations highlighted here and there is an eery feeling on the grounds of those mentioned in this video. Are spirits with you when you visit?

As for the number one place to avoid in Louisiana because of reports of spirits on the ground, it's the famous hotel in New Orleans. Look, I feel like every hotel in New Orleans is haunted.

Every hotel that I've ever stayed at there has had a strange "feel" to it, so I don't doubt that the Hotel Provincial is haunted.

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
