Everyone is invited to celebrate Halloween at Boo Bayou at Vermilionville! It's a Fall Carnival for the whole family on Saturday, October 26 from 10 AM – 3 PM. Kids' activities will include games, activity sheets, a tarot card reader, face painting, cooking demonstrations, trick-or-treating throughout the historic village and entertainment provided by Renaissance Cadienne and Henry Hample.

Schedule:

10:00 am – 1:00 p.m. Games

Toss Across, Ladder Ball, Tin Can Knock ‘Um Down, Fishing for Apples, Pumpkin Bowling, Face Painting, Pumpkins in the Moss, Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin, Gourd Toss, Bobbing Boats, Wading Ducks, Coloring Station and Trick-or-Treat Bag Making. Henry Hample will be performing some spooky tunes beginning at 11:00 a.m.

10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Cooking Demonstrations

Learn how to make spider webs and vampire fangs in Vermilionville’s Cooking School every half hour on the hour from 10:30 – 1:30. There will also be cupcake decorating available from 2 – 3 p.m. for $1.

1:00 p.m. – 3 p.m. Picture Station

Take your child’s picture on a Vermilionville-styled Halloween backdrop and bring home this special keepsake from Boo Bayou.

1:00 – 3 p.m. Trick or Treating

Your kids will love trick or treating throughout Vermilionville’s historic village and visiting with the artisans at the historic homes. Renaissance Cadienne will be performing traditional dances in the village.
