#2 LSU remained undefeated, handling Mississippi State on the road Saturday by the score of 36-13.

Quarterback Joe Burrow continued his Heisman worthy campaign, tossing 4 touchdowns and 327 yards on 25 completions.

His last one gave him 29 passing touchdowns on the season, a new single-season LSU record.

The Tigers never trailed, but settled for 3 field goals on their first 3 drives into the red-zone, something Burrow wasn't happy about.

"If we play like this next week (versus #11 Auburn), we'll lose," Burrow said. "I think we're going to have to execute much better in the red zone than we did this week, because I don't think we'll get as many chances."

Improving to 7-0 overall, and 3-0 in SEC play, LSU got the desired result, even if the battle to get it wasn't perfect.

"We didn't play our best game today, but I knew this day was going to come, and I'm proud of our defense," Orgeron said. "Your offense is not going to play great, on fire every week."

The Tigers forced three turnovers, including an interception late in the 2nd quarter which led to an LSU touchdown that put them up 22-7 at the midway point.

#2 LSU hosts #11 Auburn (6-1, 3-1) in Baton Rouge next week. Kickoff is set for 2:30.
