On CJ and Ellen in the Morning, at about 6:20 am each weekday, we have a feature called "Tell Me Something Good". Ellen and I share "good news" with our audience. Our choice can be local, national, personal, etc., anything "good". Most mornings I share the messages sent to me from my amazing BFF Marilyn. Several times a week, she'll send me notes to inspire me, make me think or just give me a good laugh. A ton of people have asked me to share them at 999ktdy.com and on social media.

I don't know where she gets these, nor do I ask. I'm quite sure some are crafted by her personally, others are found online and in and around New Orleans (where she currently lives with her daughter Courtney).

Marilyn is such a special person. I wish all of you could meet her personally. Since that can't happen, I will try on occasion to bring her spirit and heart to you. And with a little luck, some of these Marilynisms will bring you joy and hope and sometimes set you back on the right path.

Here are several inspiring messages featured on "Tell Me Something Good" with CJ and Ellen in the Morning

The fears we don't face become our limits.

Being wanted feeds the ego. Being valued feeds the soul.

If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine. It's lethal.

Learn to sit back and observe. Not everything needs a reaction.

Don't let age change you. Change the way you age.

Music gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.

Your direction is more important than speed.

The key to happiness is someone to love, something to do and something to look forward to.

Marilyn always ends her texts to me with, "Love u best". I can't even begin to tell you how special she is to me. I hope you enjoy these. If so, there will probably be more to come!
