To celebrate, the real-life-in-person 25th Anniversary Polyester Power Hour Party is headed back to where it all began in 1997. Get ready for a night of unparalleled excitement, music, fun and prizes as the magical retro experience makes its way back to downtown Lafayette.

The Polyester Power Hour Party is legendary and this year's special edition 25th Anniversary Polyester Power Hour Party returns to its birthplace Nitetown, downtown Lafayette (524 Rue Jefferson). Twenty-five years ago the very first PPH party exploded onto the downtown scene inside Nitetown. The evening was a modern-day lovefest with everything that made the super 70s the ultimate time to be alive. That night, the music, the costumes and the energy were one for the record books.

The first few years we couldn't get everybody in. We considered moving the party in the Cajundome but decided to take the Studio 54 approach. When everyone couldn't get in, tickets became more desirable. Besides, any other place other than Nitetown didn't seem right. That's where the on-air Polyester Power Hour became the in-person Polyester Power Hour Party and taking the party back to its roots this year is super exciting. -CJ of CJ and Ellen in the Morning on 99.9 KTDY)
