Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported with this storm. However, some 22 people were injured and countless businesses and homes were damaged in the storm. An early assessment by the National Weather Service office in Memphis suggested that the storm that hit Jonesboro was an EF-3 on the Enhanced Fujita scale.
