More thunderstorms pushed through South Louisiana Wednesday morning and unfortunately, more funnel clouds were spotted within some of the storms.

While we have no reports of damage to homes or other buildings, it is still alarming to see photos of funnel clouds in some of these storms in our area.

On Tuesday, a tornado touched down in Basile, Louisiana causing an extensive amount of damage to a small business. Luckily on Wednesday, we did not receive reports of any tornadoes on the ground, but the weather service is investigating the conditions in parts of Acadiana have photos of a funnel cloud appearing on social media.

Strong storms swept across the Branch and Robert's Cove area on Wednesday morning and that is where the photo below was taken by Christopher Williams.

The photo was later shared on the Cajun Weather Spotters of Acadiana social media page.

We hope that everyone was safe during these latest storms and remember to download this station's app for any future weather updates. It's a great tool to have to keep you and your family informed.
