Morgan Wallen was thought to have damaged his career permanently after a video went viral last week showing him shouting a racial slur among friends. But Wallen's fans are buying up his latest album so fast, the country music star landed at number one for the fourth consecutive week.

Thanks to his fans, Morgan Wallen's album, "Dangerous: The Double Album" is at the top of Billboard's all-genre albums chart again even after most country music radio stations pulled his music from their playlists.

The video went public after broke the video of Wallen returning home after a night out with friends, He's seen in his driveway yelling racial slurs and profanities.

Associated Press is reporting Wallen's latest album sold 25,000 copies during the week ending Feb. 4. That's an increase of 102%. Song downloads from the album are also up by 67%.

Daily sales from Wallen's first album have increased from 200 daily downloads to about 2,500 per day.

Before the incident, Morgan Wallen's latest album was breaking streaming records. "Dangerous: The Double Album" is the first country album to stay at the top of the Billboard 200 chart since Shania Twain did it in 2003 with her album "Up!".

The country music industry claims the reason Wallen's fans are downloading his music in record number might be because they can no longer hear his music on country music radio stations.

As this all plays out, it will interesting to see how country radio reacts when the smoke dies down and will fans continue to support the singer.

Wallen has since apologized for the language in the video and is said to be remorseful for his actions.
