One thing Louisiana folks take pride in is our crawfish boils.

If you speak to anyone who boils crawfish, they will tell you their own secret way to do it, but if you speak to anyone in the South, they will not tell you to do it on a stove in your kitchen.

A recent video on social media shows a woman attempting to boil crawfish in her kitchen and it looks like a disaster.

Her explanations and ingredients for the boil are so bad that one or two crawfish try their best to escape this process, and who can blame them?

This woman boils the water on her stove and then beings to add several questionable ingredients into the water, all while excluding the most important thing, Louisiana seasoning.

To make matters worse, she says that she put the crawfish in her FREEZER prior to dropping them into the pot and it was at that point that I knew this would be a disaster.

To be fair, she samples the crawfish at the end of this video and she seems to thoroughly enjoy them. I am glad she did because I don't know of anyone from here that would have even tried them after the fact.

And what is with it that sauce that she spreads over the crawfish at the end?

I feel so bad for her that I think we should start a mission to find her and invite her to South Louisiana for a crawfish boil.

She obviously likes crawfish, but this is not the way to prepare or boil them. I am certain that she'd enjoy a crawfish boil from Breaux Bridge or Mamou.
