Kellogg’s Called Out For ‘Racially Insensitive’ Packaging
Kellogg's has drawn the ire of a Twitter user, and will redesign the packaging of its Corn Pops cereal. The Detroit Free Press reports, the Michigan based food company packaged the popular cereal in a box depicting cartoon characters, resembling corn kernels enjoying themselves at a mall. The only brown kernel is a janitor. Comic book writer Saladin Ahmed took exception, and called the company out on his Twitter page. The company responded, " Kellogg is committed to diversity & inclusion. We did not intend to offend – we apologize. The artwork is updated & will be in stores soon."
