Before finishing his super - popular tour performances in Lafayette, Garth Brooks showed up at his tour's football camp for the Boys & Girls Club of Acadiana.

Garth Brooks offers football camps at every stop on his world tour. He teamed up with former LSU Tiger and current Philadelphia Eagle punter Donnie Jones for the Lafayette camp and volunteers who showed up to coach children with Boys & Girls Club.

Brooks said that the real reason he offers the football camps is to teach children life lessons about love and relationships.

'Life is about love. Donnie [Jones] is here to make sure that these guys get all the skills that they're going to need. My thing is if they can leave here knowing one more friend than [before] they came, this camp is a success because life is about relationships. Life is about loving one another and working together, and that's what this camp is about,' Brooks told KATC.
