Electric Aircraft Allia Lands At Lafayette Regional Airport

(Lafayette, Louisiana) - A unique plane made a stop at the Lafayette Regional Airport, and officials there were able to capture a few photos of the Allia high-performance fixed-wing electric aircraft.

This small aircraft looks very futuristic and runs purely on electric power, meaning zero emissions.

The small plane, shown below, has room for one pilot and up to five passengers. It can travel at a maximum of 153 knots.

This aircraft operates under FAA experimental certificates and is aggressively tracking toward full FAA commercial type certification. BETA Technologies manufactured the aircraft, and it has flown many missions across the United States.

According to Lafayette Regional Airport's social media post, this aircraft was flown under the moniker eBristow.

Bristow Group is the leading global provider of innovative and sustainable vertical flight solutions. Bristow primarily provides aviation services to a broad base of offshore energy companies and government entities.

There have been some very interesting days at Lafayette Regional Airport: not only has an electric plane landed there, but Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, recently landed at LFT to visit South Louisiana.

Is it a coincidence that the man behind all things electric and SpaceX was here a few days ago, and now an electric plane arrives? We'll let you speculate, as we are.
