F-15 Jets to Fly Over Lafayette For UL Ragin’ Cajuns Game
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - If you hear or see F15 jets over Lafayette this weekend, there's nothing to worry about.
Today, so many people are on high alert, and when military jets or planes are in sight, some get alarmed.
In recent years, I can't tell you how many times I've seen people on social media asking why military planes were over the area they live in; often it's because of training, but that will not be the case this Saturday over Lafayette.
Jets Over Cajuns Game
If you see or hear F15 jets over Lafayette this Saturday, it's for a great purpose.
The UL Ragin' Cajuns are hosting Troy at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium Saturday afternoon, and if you ever want to arrive early, this weekend is the time.
UL announced on social media that an F-15 flyover will take place before kickoff, and if you've never been to a stadium for a flyover, you need to be. I've been to stadiums where military planes have buzzed overhead, and it's quite exciting to witness.
In recent weeks, UL has hosted great pregame festivities, so wear your red and get to the stadium early to enjoy everything around the game. Oh, and this week, the weather will be perfect for football, with Saturday's high in the lower 70s.
UL and Troy kick off at 4 pm in Lafayette, so just before then, be looking up for the jets buzzing over Lafayette and Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium.
