(Pineville, Louisiana) - The restaurant that was in the news this week, after someone reported it to police after seeing an employee skinning a deer, has responded to the allegations.

If you recall, earlier this week, we reported that the Pineville Police Department responded to a concern after someone saw an employee from China Queen cleaning a deer behind the business.

When police arrived, they located the deer carcass in a freezer, near meat intended to be served, and that's when police contacted the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries and the Louisiana Health Department.

Both agencies took over the investigation, and the restaurant has now responded.

China Queen posted a note on their front door, which you can see below, stating that they never intended to serve deer meat to their customers.

After apologizing for the inconvenience, they acknowledged that the deer meat was improperly stored in the freezer and that measures were being taken to ensure that it never happens again.

The restaurant said in the note taped to the front door that it is cooperating with authorities during this investigation and thanked its customers for understanding.

Here's a look at the letter that has been circulating on social media since the investigation began and since this story went viral.

Many here in Acadiana have started their "Spring Cleaning" or soon will, but do you know which items in your home are most infected with germs and viruses?

A few days ago, we started "Spring Cleaning" in our house, and while we were wiping down the baseboards, doors, and floors, I looked up which items in homes contain the most germs, and I was shocked.

So, I thought I'd highlight what I found so you can make sure you clean these things in your home as you begin your annual cleaning. According to Healthline, these five spots in your home contain the most germs.
