Duson Officer Gives Boy A Badge Sticker And The Photo Went Viral

(Duson, Louisiana) - A police officer with the Duson Police Department is being applauded by many on social media after his photo surfaced online with a young boy.

The photo shows a young boy standing beside an officer, holding a sticker resembling a badge.

That photo was sent to Duson Chief of Police Kip Judice as a woman wanted to acknowledge what the officer did for this kid.

She says that the photo was taken at a local business, and that the father of the young boy was so happy to see the officer offer up a surprise, the sticker of a badge, for his son.

In the message sent to the Duson Police Dept., the woman says she was even nervous about approaching the officer and the kid, as she, too, was excited to see what had just happened.

Like so many on social media, we too are applauding what this officer did for the young boy, as this is where the bridge between police and the community they serve is built. What this officer did with a simple gift will go a long way, and I am just glad that someone was there to document what this police officer in Duson did for the kid.
