Familiar Face in Acadiana Law Enforcement Lands New Job in Eunice

(Eunice, Louisiana) - You've seen him on television and have heard him on the radio for years, and now our friend Eddie Thibodeaux has a new part-time job in law enforcement.

Thibodeaux, who was with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office for years, is best known for his featured segments on St. Landry Crime Stoppers and has now landed a new position in the same parish, but with a different agency.

The Eunice City Marshal's Office announced on social media that the longtime law enforcement officer has joined their agency in a part-time position.

According to the Marshal's Office:

"Eddie Thibodeaux will be working part-time doing training for our office and other local departments. His duties will also involve visiting schools, interacting with kids, our community projects and services, and working with civilians teaching self-defense and gun safety."

With 38 years of experience, City Marshall Terry Darbone says that Thiboedux will bring a lot of experience and knowledge to his agency, and the Marshal's Office in Eunice is excited to have him aboard their team.

Many commenting under the announcement by the Marshal's Office ssay that they are excited to have someone with Eddie's experience serving the community, while many are also excited that he will be working with the youth in Eunice.

For those who may not know, working with the youth in Acadiana is one of Eddie Thibodeaux's passions, and there's no doubt that the City of Eunice and the youth will benefit by having someone like Eddie embedded in their community.
