Customer at Louisiana Restaurant Thanks Management for Generosity
(Scott, Louisiana) - A customer who visited Uncle T's Restaurant in Scott went to social media to thank management and owners for their generosity.
Laura Melacon Whipp shared a post on Facebook after she tore the pants she was wearing. According to the Facebook post, the chair Laura sat on was frayed, and it was then that she tore the scrub pants she had on that day.
A waitress who witnessed the incident came over to apologize to Laura. She told the waitress not to worry about it, "It happens."
A few moments later, a manager from the restaurant arrived at the table to obtain Laura's name and phone number.
Fast forward a day, and Laura gets a phone call from Tony, who owns Uncle T's in Scott. He once again apologized for the mishap, and not only did he tell Laura that he would replace the pants she tore at his establishment, but he would also purchase her an entirely new set of scrubs.
In her viral post on social media, Laura ended it with, "He did not have to go out of his way at all, but he did. I just thought people should know that some very generous, good people run Uncle T’s."
We share this to not only applaud management and the owners of Uncle T's, but also to applaud Laura for writing such kind words about their experience at the local favorite.

Too often, all that we hear or see on social media is one's displeasure with services, but that wasn't the case here. Laura took time to highlight the good in an establishment, and while the owners handled this with great class, we can say the same for the customer in this incident.
And while some may be shocked to read about this excellent customer service at Uncle T's in Scott, I am not shocked to hear about Laura's experience with Tony and his staff. I've seen firsthand how well Uncle T's takes care of its customers, and good customer service is a key mission of the restaurant.
After all, this is often what you get from people in Acadiana.
