Oh yes maam. Today, October 13th is National No Bra Day. A day that encourages wearers to leave the bra at home and a day that promotes breast cancer awareness. It’s also a day that helps to raise money for research and encourage women to get mammograms. Because many women who have survived breast cancer aren’t able to go without a bra because they need it to hold their prosthesis after surgery.

So what do you do today? How do you observe ‘No Bra Day’? For starters, let the girls free and go braless. More importantly, take charge of your health and schedule a mammogram, learn about self-breast exams, and encourage other women to do the same.

Ladies, let go of the dreadful bra today and let your boobies breathe. If wearing a bra on this day is absolutely necessary, you can show your support by wearing something purple.

If you would like to help raise awareness, use the hashtag #nobraday.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For more information on breast cancer, visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation website.
