Last night in front of almost 12,000 fans, Garth Brooks performed show 3 of 5 in the Lafayette Cajundome.  Today the internet, social media and even water cooler conversations have been dominated by the news of Garth announcing he was "recording" last night's Cajundome performance.

Shortly after  the Garth Brooks' 2017 World Tour sponsored by Amazon Music Unlimited booked 5 shows in the Lafayette Cajundome, Garth was heard saying that there would be special guest surprises and that Louisiana should "bring their best singing voice".  And hinted at the fact there may be a live recording of some sort.

After performing several songs to a lively Sunday crowd, Garth announced that during Friday and Saturday night shows, they had worked on the sound to get it right and that last night's show was being "recorded".  Of course the crowd went nuts.

Were they recording video and audio or just audio?  The rumor is just audio.  And there is speculation that the only song Garth will release as a live Cajundome performance is his 1993 hit, Callin' Baton Rouge, that ended with a thunderous LSU chant.  But again, only speculation, anything could happen.

After Brooks announced last night's show was being recorded, he went into a high energy performance of Papa Loved Mama.
