The annual Eat Lafayette campaign kicks off with "A Taste of Eat Lafayette" on June 19 at the Cajundome Convention Center. The event gives locals and fans of food from across the region to sample the offerings of participating Eat Lafayette restaurants from 5:30 - 8 PM and enjoy the rivalry and expertise of chefs competing for the .

The Louisiana Seafood Cook-off will feature chefs from all corners of the state, including: Paul Gibson from Pont Breaux's Cajun Restaurant in Breaux Bridge, Scott McCue from Cypress Bayou Casino and Hotel in Charenton, Ryan Trahan of Blue Dog Café in Lafayette, Kris Allen of Pamplona Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Lafayette, plus Joshua Hebert from The Cabin Restaurant in Gonzales, Justin East of Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, Paige Lucas from Pork Belly's Bar and Grill in Marksville, Nick Simons from Wine Country Bistro in Shreveport, Anthony Felan of Fat Calf Boucherie in Shreveport, Justin Ferguson of BRQ Restaurant in Baton Rouge, Noah Lessard from Ruffino's in Baton Rouge, and Richard Brennan III of  Bourbon House in  New Orleans.  The winner of LASCO will represent Louisiana at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off (GASCO) in New Orleans on Saturday, August 4 at the Morial Convention Center.
