New Iberia Mardi Gras Parade Canceled

According to this story from KLFY TV10, the Krewe of Andalusia will NOT roll this Friday night in New Iberia.

According to the story, the downturn in the oilfield played a hand in the cancellation of the parade, which has been running for 26 years.

For those who would normally be at the parade, there's an event in Lafayette that will certainly get you into the Mardi Gras spirit: the Krewe De Bayou VooDoo Masquerade Mardi Gras Ball!

It happens this Friday night, and tickets are still available for purchase.  Entertainment includes the Bucktown Allstars, and the ball features a table decorating contest sponsored by Spa Mizan.
