National WWII Museum Receives $20 Million Donation
The National WWII Museum in New Orleans has just received a 20 million dollar donation. AP reports, Bollinger Shipyards CEO, and chairman, Boysie Bollinger made the announcement at a Tuesday news conference. Bollinger said,"I hope tomorrow we hear someone else is the largest contributor to the National World War II Museum." $10 million of the gift will be used to construct a giant "Canopy of Peace" capable of category 3 hurricane force winds. Additional construction will include a gallery. The project is expected to be completed by 2017.
