(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - LSU Men's Basketball hasn't been good in recent years, and things seem to be getting worse in Baton Rouge.

Growing up in the 90s, LSU Men's Basketball was so much fun to watch, and often the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, also known as the Deaf Dome, was as energetic as Tiger Stadium.

Players like Shaquille O'Neal and Chris Jackson put the LSU basketball program in the national spotlight. Then, in the early to mid-2000s, LSU competed for championships.

Well, since LSU fired Will Wade in 2022 for alleged NCAA violations, the men's basketball program has been in the dumpster. Matt McMahon took over the program, and while he is perceived to be a class act and a very nice guy, the program has yet to take off under his guidance.

Currently, the LSU Men's Basketball team is 14-10. In the conference, the Tigers are 2-9, and now it appears that the LSU faithful have seen enough.

While the LSU Women's Basketball team and LSU Gymnastics teams seem to have no trouble getting fans in the seats at the PMAC, there are very few people taking the time to attend LSU Men's Basketball games.

Recently, the Tigers hosted the Arkansas Razorbacks, and a video of the crowd size in the PMAC was posted by sports reporter Scott Rabalis. It shows many empty purple seats in the arena, often called the "Deaf Dome" because of the noise from fans.

For now, there's everything but a deafening arena on campus for men's basketball, and now many are saying this video may be enough to convince the "Powers That Be" at LSU that it is time for a change within the LSU Men's Basketball program.

This is sad to see, and LSU players and fans deserve better than this.

Keep in mind the arena shown above is the same one you'll see here when LSU Men's Basketball was dominating, and fans couldn't wait to get into the PMAC.
