LSU Player Knocks Down Staff Member During Drill At Tiger Stadium

(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - The LSU Tigers are preparing for their opening game in Tiger Stadium, and during a recent practice, one player accidentally ran over a staff member during a team drill.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the LSU Tigers this year, as Lane Kiffin has moved into the head coach position, and with a lot of new faces on the field, the excitement seems to have reached a new level.

If you are a fan and have been watching clips of LSU practicing in the Spring and now this Fall, you can sense that the players have more motivation than ever, and that they are ready to start their season against Clemson in "Death Valley.'

Well, as we approach the start of the 2026-27 college football season, practices are getting a bit more intense, and one focus of the new coaching staff at LSU has been fundamentals.

During a recent practice, the defense was performing a drill where the defensive player has to get off of a block and pursue the ball. Keep in mind this is just a drill, and tackling is not part of it.

As part of the drill, the person with the ball is not a player, but rather a staff member. Remember, there's no tackling while this drill is being executed, but that doesn't mean accidents can't happen, and that's what occurred below.

The LSU player gets off the block and goes after the staff member with the ball, but in the process, he accidentally hits the staff member. As you may imagine, the much smaller staff member falls hard to the ground as the LSU player attempts to help him up.

The good news is, according to the person who shot this video, Tripp Buhler, the staff member was not seriously injured.
