(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - College football is in full swing, and we've seen President Donald J. Trump at various football games; now Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry would like to see him at LSU's Tiger Stadium.

Gov. Landry said the setting would be perfect for the President of the United States to attend an LSU home game and sign a bill into law focused on college athletics.

Of course, the bill that we are talking about here is the Protect College Sports Act.

The Senate recently passed the bill, and now it moves forward to the House, where many believe that it will pass with flying colors. If it does, the President willl have to sign it into law, which is why the Louisiana Governor has already extended an open invitation to Trump.

The bill is designed to protect both the athletes and universities in the age of NIL money and transfer portals. With that in mind, Gov. Landry feels it would only be appropriate to sign the bill before over 100,000 fans in "Death Valley."

Not to get too political, but the Protect College Sports Act, if it passes and becomes law, would give the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) more power, cap how much student-athletes could be paid for name, image, and likeness, and enforce minimum revenue-sharing standards at major universities. Basically, this would create a much fairer playing field for everyone.

And while I love Gov. Landry's idea and invite here, I have only one HUGE problem with the President attending an LSU football game in Baton Rouge. If you think traffic is bad on I-10 or Nicholson Drive on game day, throw in the President of the United States and we may never get to the stadium.

If Trump does attend an LSU game on any given Saturday this football season, I suggest you leave Thursday to get to the stadium. Security would be so heavy that getting into Baton Rouge would be a nightmare for fans. But it would be cool to have the President of the United States on campus to sign a bill into law.

If you're wondering whether Trump would attend an LSU football game, he would not be the first President of the United States to set foot on campus in Baton Rouge.

When I attended LSU, former U.S. President George H. Bush spoke on the parade grounds.

Now we wait to see whether the Protect College Sports Act passes the House and whether President Trump will take Gov. Landry up on his invitation. Could you imagine the reaction of LSU fans if Trump showed up and signed the bill on the 50-yard line, to the tune of " Eye of the Tiger.

Well, I doubt security would let that happen, but it would be a cool visual.
