The Louisiana State Police have completed their investigation of the Trayford Pellerin shooting and have sent their findings to the Lafayette Parish District Attorney's office, according to a story from KATC TV3.

In August of last year, Trayford Pellerin was shot and killed by Lafayette Police Officers after wielding a knife at a convenience store on the Evangeline Thruway. Protests took place around Acadiana for weeks after the shooting.

KATC says that they reached out to the DA's office for an update on the case and were told the DA's office is still conducting their own investigation which, once completed, will be sent before a grand jury.
