Louisiana Mother Arrested After Leaving Kids In The Car While Gambling

She took the ultimate gamble and rightfully paid dearly.

As a father of two children, I just can't imagine anything on the planet worth leaving them in a vehicle unattended, for any amount of time. I just can't grasp the thought processes behind it, and hate to see it happen to children so often.

37-year-old Tara Jackson is facing two counts of child desertion after leaving her two children in an unlocked, running car for well over an hour. The children were one and fiver years old, and luckily, neither were harmed in any way.

Jackson played video poker inside a truck-stop casino for an hour and a half while her two children sat in the car.

Luckily, a good Samaritan was nearby and was able to help the kids and contact local authorities.
