Lights Flashing On Pinhook Bridge

On my way home from work tonight, the red lights on the Vermilion River Bridge in Pinhook were flashing red, with no boat in sight!

The arms remained vertical, and traffic was moving normally, but I am sure that the red lights could pose a safety issue.

I called 911 to report the problem, and the 911 operator said that she would notify Lafayette City Police.

1/2 hour later, I drove over the bridge again, and they were still flashing red, so be alert if you have to go that way!
