According to the Lafayette Consolidated Government Facebook page, there will be an accessible Mardi Gras Parade Zone available for citizens with disabilities. This is a great option to offer our community. It will be located by Fire Station Number Five, which is on Johnston Street and E. St. Lewis Street. This area will be specifically reserved for these citizens. It is first come first serve as there is limited space.

This will allow citizens with disabilities the opportunity to watch the Mardi Gras parade without an obstructed view. And on the flip side, the float riders will have a better shot at getting these citizens some great throws.

Thank you to the  Lafayette Fire Department. According to the LCG Facebook post, they are providing this wonderful service.
