Fire at New Lafayette, Louisiana Rouses Store
Officials with Rouses Supermarkets told KATC there was a fire at their new store at the corner of Camellia Boulevard and Verot School Road Monday night.
Now thankfully, officials say that everyone is okay and the fire was small in nature.
Even better, the store opened back up to customers not long after firefighters put out the fire.
We spoke with Lafayette Fire Department spokesman Alton Trahan who says there was a grease fire in the deli.
Thankfully, Trahan says the hood suppression unit activated and extinguished the fire.
