What is the dress code? For this Inagural Krewe de Bayou Mardi Gras Ball we encourage everyone to dress within the theme of the Roaring 20's.  However, if wearing a costume is not your style, no fear! You can come in cocktail attire and fit right in!  Keep in mind, everyone who is come all decked out in flapper or gangster costumes will be entered into a contest.  The prize? The winner will be able to take one guest on the Townsquare Media float in The Independent Mardi Gras parade!

Can I buy my tickets at the door? Of course!  However keep in mind that we won't be selling General Admission VIP tables at the door.  Also, we may sell out of VIP tickets as well, so the only at-the-door option may be general admission.  We encourage you to buy in advance just to make sure you get the ticket selection you want.

When is everything going to start? While doors open at 7, festivities won't begin until about 8. From 7-8, we'll have music and dancing.  At 8, we will have the presentation of our Royalty; King T-Boy, Queen Clotile and their Dukes and Duchesses.  8:45 is when Nik-L-Beer hits the stage and Vagabond Swing at 10:15. Following Vagabond Swing, the Downtown Ballroom will stay open for music and dancing until 1am.

Who are King T-Boy and Queen Clotile? King T-Boy is Operations Manager Bruce Mikells of Townsquare Media.  Queen Clotile is morning anchor on Good Morning Acadiana, Tracy Wirtz.

What do I get with a VIP ticket? If you're looking into a VIP ticket you are probably wondering, what's the difference?  Well, arguably the most important feature of a VIP ticket is that you will get two free drink tickets (which you receive at the door when you check in).  Additionally, there will be a buffet of assorted food such as meatballs and jambalaya available from 7pm-10pm.  The VIP area is situated looking over the Ballroom with the King & Queen.  VIPs have access to anywhere in the Ballroom as well.  Finally, the VIP area boasts a private bathroom and a private bar. Get your VIP ticket here.

What do I get with a General Admission VIP ticket? If you have a group of six friends including yourself and you want a reserved seat for the whole night, the General Admission VIP table is what you're looking for.  While the tables do not have access to the buffet, each table will be given a small platter of food at approx. 8pm to munch on.  Additionally, cocktail waitresses will be available to get you and your table drinks if you don't want to go to the bar.  Lastly, the tables have an exclusive table decorating contest where the best decorated table will win great prizes!  To get your table, call Jen at 337-233-6000.  Reserve it now before they are sold out.

What do I get with a General Admission ticket? A General Admission ticket gets you into the Ball.  These tickets are Standing Room Only tickets. Tickets can be purchased at Schlotsky's on Johnston or Pinhook, Lucky Deuces Casino in Duson or on Ticketfly.com.
