NEW ORLEANS, La. (KMDL-FM) - No acting experience? You could still land a role in a major movie filming in The Big Easy. A casting company is seeking background actors for a movie currently filming in the New Orleans area.

Who Is Casting the Film

Caballero Casting is now casting those 18 years of age and older to work as paid background actors for a film called "The Statement." The film is set in St. Petersburg, Florida, circa 1980, so it should feel quite nostalgic.

Oh, the movie is starring Paul Rudd, Paul Giamatti, and John Turturro, so you may get to meet some bona fide stars.

How to Apply

To be considered for one of the parts, you'll need to submit an email to thestatement@caballerocasting.com with the subject line "General BG." And in the email, you will need to include:

  • Age
  • Contact number
  • City/State of residency
  • Height/Weight
  • Wardrobe sizes + measurements (if available)

  • 1 Full body (head to toe)
  • 1 Headshot (chest up)
  • (Upscale clothing strongly encouraged)
  • Photos of any visible tattoos

  • List your wide open availability for: March 25, 26, 27, 30, 31

How Much It Pays

Those chosen for a part as a background actor for this film will receive pay of $150 for a 12-hour day, plus an additional $50 for a costume fitting (all hired talent will attend a costume fitting before filming).
