Hello Kitty Happy Meal Recall

Parents of young girls, take note: a toy whistle included in the popular Hello Kitty! line of Happy Meal toys at McDonald's is being recalled due to a potential choking hazard.

According to our news partners at KATC, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that two children have reportedly coughed out fragments of the whistle that were drawn into their throats; one of the children required medical attention to restore safe breathing. The safety agency said that parts of the three-inch tall "Hello Kitty Birthday Lollipop" whistle can detach and be inhaled, posing a risk to small children.
