She's made it this far, but we can't lose Betty White just yet.

Social media spread word of a GoFundMe campaign allegedly set up to keep Betty White from dying before the end of 2016. While the idea is extremely funny and clever, Snopes.com has proven that the GoFundMe is not really designed to protect Betty White. It was instead created to raise money for a theater and arts center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The man who launched the campaign, Demetrios Hrysikos, made it clear that the money was really being raised for the arts center, yet people only read what they wanted to: the part about Betty White.

Hrysikos has raised $700 more than his goal of $2, 000 and has thanked supporters for their passion for the arts and Betty White.
