Most of us want to be liked. Some don't care. Others don't realize how annoying they really are. We all have quirks, and habits that others may find hard to understand. There are certain behaviors that are almost certain to alienate your coworkers. Here are a few.

Being late. Most of us take our responsibilities seriously. Being late screams that you don't. that's virtually certain to stir up resentment among your colleagues.

Eating a smelly lunch at your desk. Does this REALLY need to be explained? People in neighboring offices or cubicles don't want to be wafted by your fish, garlic, onions, or egg smell.

Grooming at your desk. Seriously?? Go to the bathroom!

Being late for meetings. This is the definition of passive aggressiveness. Keeping others waiting is a gesture of disrespect.

You don't have to like your coworkers. That being said, you should try to coexist with them. After all, you spend more time with your coworkers than your family.
