The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, April 27th

There are now 27,068 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. 7,516 tests have been completed by state labs and 139,473 tests have been reported by commercial labs. Numbers show that there are 1,683 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized with 262 of them on ventilators.

As of today, 17,303 COVID-19 patients are presumed recovered.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 1,469 with 115 deaths reported.

Lafayette Parish: 443 cases, 18 deaths
Iberia Parish: 245 cases, 17 deaths
St. Martin Parish: 223 cases, 15 deaths
St. Mary Parish: 181 cases, 20 deaths
St. Landry Parish: 167 cases, 35 deaths
Acadia Parish: 130 cases, 9 deaths
Evangeline Parish: 45 cases
Vermilion Parish: 35 cases, 1 death

There is more widespread representation throughout the state as all 64 parishes now have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 1,697. New Orleans continues to be the hardest-hit area of the state. The next update is due out tomorrow at noon.
