Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Angel T Black Pot Cook-Off. It will be held on March 28th at the Rice Arena in Crowley. They’ll have plenty of awesome auction items, fun bands, activities for the kids, and of course, ANYTHING in a black pot. With the help of such a giving community, they raised $16,000 for Maddie’s Footprints last year. They are hoping to double that this year.

On July 3, 2016, the Latiolais Family gained an angel, Tripp Anthony Latiolais. Tripp was stillborn just days before the scheduled c-section.  In an instant, they went from looking at the ultrasound with a smile to heartbreak.  Their plans for welcoming their son into the world changed to planning his funeral.

Maddie’s Footprints is a non-profit organization that provides support to families coping with miscarriages, stillbirths, or the loss of an infant.  They offer guidance and help families by providing information, resources, support, and/or grief counseling. They also offer the families financial assistance for end-of-life expenses and/or medical expenses that can be overwhelming during their difficult time.

The Latiolais Family continues Tripp’s legacy by helping other families who are going through the same thing. The Angel T Black Pot Coof-Off is one way they give back to Maddie’s Footprints in hopes to help thousands of other families going through a similar life-changing journey.

If you’d like to help, they are looking for sponsorships, donated items for the auction, participants in the cookoff, and anyone and everyone to join them for a full day of family fun. You can call Brianna & Colby Latiolais at 919-920-3701 or you can email angeltblackpotcookoff@yahoo.com.
