Hundreds Turn Out for #EmmyStrong Fundraiser in Youngsville
Hundreds of people turned out this morning for the Moving Mountains for Emmy fundraiser in Youngsville. It was all to support the family of 3-year-old Emmalynn Quebedeaux who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer. Organizers used almost every available square foot at the Creme de la Creme event center. From fun jumps and the Bubble Bus to vendors and a silent auction, the support for a little girl in the fight of her life was palpable.
We know Acadiana is a giving place and we have a way of wrapping our arms around those in need. Just a look at the donated auction items, baked goods, and gift cards shows exactly how much support for Emmy Quebedeaux and her recovery there is.
The theme really was fun for a good cause. With face-painting inside the beautiful Creme de la Creme ballroom proved to be a respite from the high 90s outside.
Update From The Family
Family members post updates just in the last couple of days. Emmy completed her second dose of chemotherapy.
Round 2 of chemo is DONE as of Tuesday! sorry I haven’t posted an update in a while but I’m sure you all have heard from my husband that our sweet (but very active)caboose has made it to Memphis and her and Emmy have kept momma SUPER BUSY, but we are so so grateful to have her here with us!
