14th Annual ‘jeep jaunt’ Rolls This Weekend

The 14th Annual 'jeep jaunt' will roll Sunday, October 27th, in efforts of raising funds for the American Lung Association.

Hundreds of Jeeps and 4x4s will gather at Celebrity Theatres in Broussard Sunday morning for the event, which includes door prizes, an auction, lunch, and a 35-mile police-escorted ride from the theatre to Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel.

Todd's DJ Entertainment Services will provide the early-morning music for the registration which begins at 7 AM. Early-bird door prizes will be given out between 7 and 8; registration ends at 9.

The ride will take us down the winding back roads of Iberia and St. Mary Parishes along Bayou Teche, all the way to the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana's reservation, then across Bayou Teche to Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel. There, the participants will be greeted with more door prizes, lunch, raffles, and an auction.

Monies raised from the event will directly benefit the American Lung Association of Louisiana, whose goal is to help the over half a million people in Louisiana with chronic lung disease.
