Brittany’s Project Fundraiser This Saturday

There will be a fundraiser for Brittany's Project this Saturday, November 13th in Franklin to raise money for the non-profit organization.

WHAT IS BRITTANY'S PROJECT?

Brittany's Project is a facility that has been erected in Franklin, Louisiana on donated property. The organization provides recreation, educational workshops, calendar-based respite services, summer camps, social interaction and other measures of support to individuals with disabilities.

WHO IS IT NAMED AFTER?

The facility is named after Brittany Saucier, who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Brittany's parents Bruce and Sandra Saucier have donated the land to erect the facility, which will be available to all individuals throughout Louisiana and beyond to experience life without limitations.

MORE ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER

The fundraiser will have food, arts, crafts, jewelry and other vendors. The main part of the event is the car show, with over a dozen categories. Awards for the car show will be broken down as follows:

• Best of Show Chevrolet, Ford, Mopar, Import, GM
• Being Jeeps are part of this show we have Best of Show Jeep and Top 5
• Rat Rods Top 5, Best Lady Rat, best of Show, Best on Track, Best Burnout, Best Doughnut, Rattiest Rat

• Best in Mud 1st and 2nd
• Best of Show mini bike
• Best Motorcycle 1st and 2nd
• ATV Best on Track 1,2,3
• Special Friends Pick
• Under Construction
• Special Interest 1st 2nd
• Club Participation
• Longest Distance

Gates for the event open at 9am, and events include rides in the rat rods, grass track races, burnouts, a kids zone, zipline, fun jumps, a petting zoo, live music, and a live auction. Of course, there will be food and other concessions sold to help the cause.

Live entertainment will be provided by Jason LeBlanc and Southern Swing.

A donation of $5 per person will give you access to the event; $10 per ice chest is requested.
